Production Operator A - Offshore (14/14 or 7/7) Gulf of America Shelf We are seeking experienced, safety-focused Production Operator A professionals to join our offshore operations team.
This rotational offshore role is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities while ensuring compliance with operational and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down production and utility systems Maintain and optimize process parameters (pressure, temperature, flow, level) Operate and test safety systems including ESD, Fire & Gas, and control panels Perform well testing, product sampling, and meter verification Support maintenance by applying/removing isolations and coordinating PTW activities Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to maximize production efficiency Complete daily production reporting and regulatory documentation Maintain environmental compliance and discharge quality standards Coordinate with maintenance teams, vendors, and offshore personnel Promote and uphold a strong safety culture Minimum Qualifications 5 years offshore oil & gas production experience Pass A-Operator assessment (80% or higher) High school diploma or equivalent TWIC card preferred Ability to work rotating offshore schedule (14/14) Required Safety Training Safegulf/Safeland (or equivalent) T2 Certificate Hazwoper, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout Fire Safety, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety JSA, Incident Reporting, Stop Work Authority Drug & Alcohol Awareness Skills & Experience Operation of pressure vessels, fired equipment, compressors, and pumps Hydrocarbon process control and troubleshooting Knowledge of PTW systems, isolations, and risk assessments Ability to read P&IDs and safety diagrams Experience in hazardous/classified work environments Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Offshore medical clearance and drug/alcohol testing Ability to travel by helicopter or boat Capable of working in physically demanding offshore conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay Medical insurance Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay 401(k) with company match Career development opportunities
